What you're actually buying
Trail Peak is the shoe the rest of the catalogue is measured against. It's the one we disassembled frame by frame for the homepage, and the only pair here designed to be used somewhere without a pavement.
The upper is a single piece of engineered knit, denser through the toe and heel where trail debris does its damage and open across the midfoot where the foot needs to breathe and flex. There are no overlays and no stitched panels, which means nothing to peel away after a wet season.
Underfoot it runs firmer than anything else we stock. The dual-density midsole is deliberately less pillowy than the road shoes — on uneven ground, softness is what rolls an ankle. The chevron outsole clears mud on the release rather than packing it, and the lugs are cut deep enough to bite loose gravel without feeling like cleats on hardpack.
