Canvas Ivory is the plainest thing in the catalogue, which is why it's the one we'd bet on still looking right in a decade. A low-top in undyed cotton canvas with a vulcanised rubber toe cap and nothing else.

The canvas is heavier than it looks — closer to a workwear weight than a plimsoll — so it holds its shape rather than collapsing around the ankle after a month. Undyed means it takes a mark, and takes it visibly. Some people repaint them; most people let them go grey.

Vulcanised construction means the sole is bonded under heat rather than glued, which is why these outlast their price. It also means they're flat, thin and entirely unsupportive, and we'd rather say that than sell them as something they aren't.
