What you're actually buying
Navy Current is a road shoe for people who run the same loop four times a week. It isn't the lightest thing we make and it isn't trying to be — it's built to stay consistent from mile one to mile eight hundred.
The knit upper is tight-gauge through the saddle and open across the forefoot, with seafoam accents marking the support structure rather than being decorative. It holds the midfoot without a plastic cage, which is what stops the tongue drifting on longer efforts.
The white foam midsole is tuned for return rather than plushness. It'll feel firmer than a max-cushion trainer on the first run and noticeably less dead than one at six months, because there's less foam to break down.
